Dream Team

The dream team is a once a month meeting that is a Think Tank session. It is the Dream Team Meeting where new and fresh ideas for ministry are voiced. It is where ministries that are not yet running are thought up and leadership assembled to make those ideas/dreams a reality.

As we focus on creating new ministries new outlets become available for people to get plugged in and use their gifts, grow in their faith, and as points of contact for the unchurched to be ministered to.

Our Purpose (the Great Commandment & Great Commission) is far more than just a nice cliche; nice sounding religious jargon. It is what this church is all about. For those who like to stay warm and fuzzy, comfortable and complacent they will not like it here, becausethe commands of Jesus are not taught as optional, and there is a high level of expectation for those who step up to the plate and call themselves Christians, let alone willing to do ministry.

For those that have desires and ambition to do ministry, but look around and see very little happening I share with you these two things:

1. You are correct! There are only a few ministries being started and running at this point, but there are tons more to be started.
2. Quit looking around at everyone else and what they're not doing and look in the mirror and ask yourself what is God calling me to do and get busy.

As we've now hit the 3 year anniversary of Open Arms Community Church, I call you to prayerfully join God in the work he wants to do in and through Open Arms.

Remember, 3 years old is a toddler church; we've in no way arrived and achieved our goal, nor are we running smoothly without any snags, but I encourage you to get involved in being a part of the solution.Let's let our lives count for something more than just selfish consumerism. Let's make a difference for the Kingdom of God here in the Bradford region!
