Simply Sex

Is sex something that the church should address?

Who made people? God!

In making people, who made them with the capacity to be sexual? God!

In designing people for sex, who knows best how it works, how to get the most out of it, and what causes it to break down? God!

For years the church has not addressed this subject and in the coarse of time our nation has strayed farther and farther from the original intent of the disigner of the program.

The result is our nation has turned sexuality into an act of perversion and selfishness and self gratification, and in so doing they have robbed themselves of all that sexuality was meant to be and do.

The church has not shared God's perspective on the matter other than to condemn a lot of sexuality. The result is that there has become a great divide that has left the world deaf to God's instruction on the subject and left the church with a very negitive view of sexuality. The church acts as though it is a perverted, dirty, or bad thing, but according to God's Word it's a God-intended thing, a beautiful and exciting thing, and a pure and intimate thing.

Also it can be said that the Hollywood/media & liberal agenda information on sexuality and the churches silence/condemnation on the subject, both have left many marriages void of sexual fulfillment and experiencing all God intended, they've left many people dissatisfied with what they've found in their marriage and so they turn to perversions and outside alternatives.

There is right and wrong in the area of sexuality. There are things that take sexuality down a road to perversion and self-destruction.

Surprising to both Christians and non-Christians God actually did intend sex for pleasure as well as procreation.

For those that would be offended at the Church addressing the subject of sex. All I can say is don't come and if sex is so offensive, stop doing it.

When people can turn off their sexually explicit movies and tv shows, when they can put down their romance novels, quit looking at internet porn, when they can call and complain about every piece of junk mail they get from clothing stores that advertize womens underwear, or that advertize men's magazines, when they can call every grocery store, department store, and unimart that has magazine covers with bikini clad ladies, then they can complain that the church is advertizing that they are addressing the issue of healthy sexuality from a biblical perspective.

Read Proverbs 5, 1Corinthians 6 & 7, 1Thessalonians 4, Ephesians 5, oh, and don't forget the whole book of Song of Solomon

yeah..way too many people get hung up on it...

sex is good, but it has parameters.. and as much as people like to wish those parameters weren't there.. they are..and they are VITAL to the way sex functions... whether you believe in God or not.
